The Logitech Wireless Solar Keyboard K760, an extension to the company’s solar keyboard series is expected to hit US and European markets early this month. It may just be welcomed as a fresh change by those who are not too fond of virtual keypads or porting around charging cables for their add-ons.
The new keyboard has a range of handy features enabled which include Bluetooth connectivity and solar charging. The peripheral can be paired with several devices like the iPhone, iPad and Mac. This should allow for quick and convenient switching between the various gadgets that are hooked up to it.
“Laptops, smartphones and tablets are ubiquitous – both at work and at play,” stated Denis Pavillard, vice president of experience design at Logitech. “Because Apple devices are central to this trend, Logitech is committed to improving the way people interact with them. With its simple solar charging, familiar Mac layout and comfortable design, the Logitech Wireless Solar Keyboard K760 will appeal to Apple users worldwide.”
The Logitech peripheral includes a decent design and buttons specifically for command, brightness and eject. Its concave keys should make it convenient for users to type out stuff without too much clickety-clacking. This keyboard can be charged in any light, be it indoors or outdoors. It automatically starts charging without needing users to coax it to do so. The battery should work on an average of 8 hours at a stretch.
The Logitech Wireless Solar keyboard K760 price is $79.99 (approx. Rs. 4,440) and it is expected to hit US and European markets early this month. The keyboard is built to be compatible with iOS 4.0 or higher devices as well as Mac OS X 10.5 or later versions.
