The Logitech Washable Keyboard K310 is said to be quite convenient to clean under water without the fear of it getting damaged. The company not only boast of the device’s liquid-resistant capabilities, but also brags about the easy drying techniques employed.
This peripheral is capable of surviving in up to 11 inches of water. To facilitate this, the rear end of the device is fitted with drainage holes which foster the drying process. And for those who fear that the engraved letters will get wiped out, the characters have been laser printed and UC coated to prevent fading. The keys can also endure up to five million keystrokes.
“We’ve all experienced that moment of distraction – followed by panic, when a cup of coffee or a soda spills all over your keyboard,” remarked Sophie Le Guen, senior director of mice and keyboards at Logitech. “Because life and its messes will happen, regardless of how careful you are, Logitech designed the Logitech Washable Keyboard K310 to look and function like new, even over time.”
On the technical front, the device comes with a separate number pad and the usual set of F-keys. In terms of OS support, it is compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 platforms. There are 12 buttons dedicated for quick access to the internet, emails and volume as well as other music controls. Also, the keyboard doesn’t require any software for it to run. All users need to do is plug the device into their PC or laptop and they are all set to go.
The Logitech Washable Keyboard K310 price amounts to $39.99 (approx. Rs. 2,225). The company has confirmed its release date to fall by the end of this month for the US followed by Europe in October.
