Asus India has announced the launch of the PadFone mini convertible which is basically a smaller version of the original 2-in-1 carrying an affordable price tag of Rs 15999. The device is also toned down not only in size, but also the hardware onboard.
The Asus PadFone mini smartphone is basically an entry-level release and it’s quite similar to the ZenFone 4 in specs. It features a 4-inch WVGA display on the front coated with Gorilla Glass 3 from Corning. A 2MP snapper is also present here and an 8MP camera can be found on the rear, both powered by the company’s own PixelMaster technology.
The Asus smartphone comes with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box and is promised to receive an update to version 4.4 KitKat. However, there’s no word on when the software will be released or whether it will be further bumped to version 5.0 Lollipop. Asus has gone with an Intel processor for this device as well, by embedding a 1.6GHz dual core Atom chip.
