The iBall Slide Brace-X1 has been given an official launch in India which is a big thing as most affordable devices usual get listed online and directly hit stores without any word from the company. Well, the new addition is a special one as it’s being touted as the ‘first 10.1-inch tablet PC in India with an octa core processor.’
The company’s claim is partially true as the iBall Slide Brace-X1 is the first of its kind from an Indian OEM, but not the only octa core release in the country. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is has an Exynos 5 Octa chip, but all cores cannot run at the same time. The SOC employed in the new device is a 1.7GHz MediaTek Cortex A7 SOC with Mali 450 graphics.
The iBall device has a lot more to offer other than a performance-driven processor. Its 10.1-inch display proffers 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and Android 4.4 KitKat runs the show here. The company has also given the slate a unique design which is clearly based off the Lenovo Yoga tablet series where the bottom flaunts a circular look to accommodate the large battery and also dual stereo speakers.
