The HP Stream 8 tablet has been officially launched in India carrying a super cheap price tag of Rs 16990. The slate runs on Windows 8.1 and is powered by an Intel processor like most other devices in this category.
Cheap as it is, the HP Stream 8 isn’t the most affordable option on the market, but it does offer a good slice of features. The Windows tablet falls in the 8-inch category as the name suggests and it offers an HD IPS display. The processor used here is the Atom Z3735G with a clocked speed of 1.8GHz and a quad core configuration.
And there are integrated HD Graphics as well. The slate is basically an entry-level offering with 1GB of RAM and 32GB of flash storage. And if the provided hoarding capacity isn’t enough, an additional 32GB can be thrown in via a microSD card.

The HP slate also tags along a 2MP front camera, a 5MP rear snapper and a 4000mAh battery which an last for up to 8 hours and 20 minutes of continuous video playback. There are a few freebies being offered as well, through Microsoft where you get access to Office 365, 1TB of OneDrive storage and 60 minutes of Skype minutes per month for a period of 1-year.
