Velocity Micro Edge AIO price and release date officially divulged

The Velocity Micro Edge AIO release date and price details have been announced officially and the company says that the device will be available for purchase from December 13. The customizable all-in-one is integrated with a 23.6-inch screen and is said to be a combination of power and aesthetics.

Dressed in the pearl white hue, the computer system is blessed with an LED backlit display of 1920 x 1080p resolution that offers 25 percent more viewing real estate as compared to its 21-inch counterparts. The device can be customized with the third generation dual core Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 processors and ships with 4GB of DDR3 RAM. Constructed using brushed aluminum, it has also been bestowed with a custom CPU cooling solution.

An Intel GPU has been assigned the task of delivering decent graphics, while its on-board audio teams up with stereo speakers to ensure enhanced sound reproduction. A 500GB Hitachi SATA hard drive allows users to hoard digital content on the AIO which also employs a DVD-RW burning software. Additionally, it has built-in Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n for wireless internet access and Bluetooth to transfer data to and from compatible devices as well as 10/100/1000 LAN.

And what’s more, the Edge AIO sports a headphone jack, a microphone port, 2 USB 2.0 ports, 4 USB 3.0 connectors, a video output and an SD card slot. Based on the Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium OS, the desktop is accompanied by a Microsoft mouse and a keyboard, both drenched in black. A 1.3MP 720p webcam should facilitate video conferencing over the web.

But, users do not have to stick to these specifications as they have the option of configuring the device to deliver the kind of performance they seek. It is capable of supporting a quad core CPU, a powerful GPU for discrete graphics or additional RAM. The device is assembled and supported in the US.

The Velocity Micro Edge AIO can be picked up for a starting price of $799.99 (approx. Rs. 43,715). As mentioned above, it is slated to begin shipping on December 13.
